I quite liked Romulus for being a competent return to formula. But believe it or not, I LOVED Prometheus for doing something different: a sci-fi archaeology story rather than a straight-up horror.
I agree that the Gen Z vibes were strong with this one, but if it interests the kids in this excellent franchise, that’s a win, I think.
Looking forward to seeing Romulus and found this article very interesting! I've watched Alien, Aliens, Covenant, and Prometheus multiple times. But you didn't mention Alien 3? I mean, it was awful - imo - but it did exist. :)
I didn’t mention Alien 4 or AVP, either, mainly because this film pretty much left all of those out of the canon and built on the first two plus Prometheus. But I’m glad you enjoyed the article, and I hope you enjoy the movie!
You're so right! My friends and I thrive off of put downs. And I'm a total tormenter. LOL. It's how we communicate, and imagine this, no one gets offended. It's done out of love.
Yes! My high school best friend and I both had our first job at an ice cream and burger place, and we were constantly ragging on each other and trading barbs while we worked. Our manager scheduled us on different shifts because she thought we hated each other.😅 We had to convince her that we really loved each other and wanted to work together.

We're actually big fans of Prometheus. I'd say it rounds out our top 3.

I know the lines you're talking about.
Hudson: Hey, Vasquez, has anyone ever mistaken you for a man?
Vasquez: No, How about you?
It's such an iconic line that I could see the scene in my head.
Yes! So simple, yet so impactful. Sadly, this new movie was completely devoid of sick burns.

Glad you and Matt enjoyed your date night. ❤️
