Weekly Update: The Spring Based Book Sale, Paperback Updates and New Books on Hoopla!
Hey folks!
Another quick update today. A lot of things happened over on our property today, inching us slightly closer to getting to move over there. I’m ready to go take a nap, but first I wanted to update you on a few things:
The Spring Based Book Sale is next week, and I’ve got books listed in it! This massive sale featuring primarily SFF and speculative fiction authors on Substack runs from Wednesday, February 12 through Wednesday, February 19, during which time you’ll be able to get Restless Spirits, Desolation, and Midnight Snacks for 99 cents each. Head here to sign up for sale notifications so you don’t miss it!
I had planned to release my paperbacks wide (making them available to other bookstores besides Amazon) through another distributor, but unfortunately, that’s not working out. So until I come up with another solution, I’ve turned on Expanded Distribution via Kindle Create, which means that my books are available to all the major bookstore and library distributors. In theory, that means that they should be available for you to special order via your local or favorite indie bookstore, or to request through your local library. But, again unfortunately, some distributors turn their noses up at books printed via Amazon, so I can’t guarantee that you’d be able to order them through, say, Barnes & Noble or your local mom & pop indie store. However, lots of requests could make it more likely that the distributors would carry them.
If you want paperbacks, you really don’t want to order them from Amazon, and you can’t order them through your preferred bookstore, then please let me know. If I get enough requests, I can perhaps do a bulk order of author copies and sell them to you directly. If I do that, I could even sign them.Speaking of libraries, the complete Dominion trilogy is now available to check out on Hoopla, and Kindred Spirits just got added to Restless Spirits (Bound Spirits will show up there eventually, as well). My lighter books Gone to the Dogs and The Pixie and the Professor are also available. Click here for all my Hoopla books written under my actual name, and click here for the ones I wrote under Jeanie Nicholson.
That’s all this week! Watch for the next installment of Sleep, Dearie, Sleep on Monday, and then next Friday we’ll shake things up a bit with a special treat for Valentine’s Day!
Until next time,
♥️ Jean
