Hello, Book Friends! As we lean into the weekend (are we still marking weekends?) I’m celebrating an upswing in writing productivity! This week I managed to show up to my novel four out of five weekdays, and on those four days I got a respectable amount of writing done, including outlining the rest of the book and finishing a chapter I started weeks ago.
Thanks for what you said about our struggles being ours and not to compare with others' struggles. Like you said, it's easy to think we don't have x as bad as y, and therefore our pain doesn't count. It all counts.
I pre-ordered Revolution! Super excited. :D While it's awful that so many traditionally published authors are encountering problems with releases and sales, I think it's great that non-traditionally published authors have new opportunities to reach greater audiences. Too bad there isn't more of a balance, but maybe that will happen after the pandemic is over, and more people will buy books from both types of authors (like I do).
